Denise Fiedler brings a new take on the art of collage with her use of vintage, hand-painted book pages and other documents in her representational compositions. Paste started as an art collage business and has grown to include stationery items and art prints as well as a specialization in custom work, much of which is pet portraiture. Her original collages are still at the heart of the business and are the basis for personal stationery, business logos and posters.
Before Paste, Denise spent 18 years with her first venture, Bravura. There she designed and manufactured textile home and fashion accessories and sold to specialty boutiques. After being commissioned to make collages for the dress and shoe salons of Marshall Field and Co (now Macy’s), she decided to shift her focus from textiles to paper. Her cut and sew became cut and paste.
“Denise’s small-scale art pieces include playful and charming bespoke illustrations and collages. Each is one-of-a-kind, inspired by found ephemera, old hand-painted albums and her vivid imagination.”
